Jessie has been making cards of her artwork for almost twenty years. She first sold them alongside her easel as she painted on the sidewalks of Gramercy Park in New York City. Now her cards are sold out of Union Square, Lexington Avenue, and Tribeca Barnes & Noble stores in New York City. They can also be found in various shops in the tri-state area.
As her business grew, she partnered with Allegra Print & Imaging, a national company which prints, assembles and fulfills orders in a prompt and professional manner.
The 5”x7” cards are printed on recycled, uncoated, opaque 100 lb. Couger Cover Natural stock. The printing press is an HP Indigo 7800, which gives the images rich, saturated colors and depth.
The cards have two orientations: horizontal and vertical, depending on the image. All the cards are blank inside. The back displays a short bio, Jessie’s website, ISBN barcode, and the retail price.
The cards come with an A-7 envelope which is the same color and feel of the card. Since many people buy Jessie’s cards to frame them, they come packaged in a plastic sleeve, which protects them from fingerprints and dust.
